1. The life you want is just outside your comfort zone.
If you're unhappy with your relationships, your job, your attitude, your friends... It's time to step outside of that comfort zone and make a change. Your comfort zone is giving you the results you have now. If you want new results, you have to embrace the fear of change and make it happen
.
2. You're unique.
It's easy to compare ourselves to others. As humans, it seems we're almost programmed to do this. But you're unique. Your talents and personality are yours and yours alone. And that's great. Who you are is great. In a competitive society (made even more competitive by a bad economy) it can be easy to forget that
.
3. Being genuine is more than enough.
When you act from the heart, it doesn't matter if you're right or wrong. You're being real and honest. This frees you to make mistakes, to take chances, and to live more vibrantly.
4. What you do and who you are today determines your tomorrow.
When you have bills to pay, mouths to feed, and a jam-packed schedule - it can be hard to find room for making your dreams come true. But it just might be simpler than you think. How you complete your daily tasks determines your future just as strongly as what those tasks actually are. The attitude, charisma, compassion and humor you exude today affects who you're becoming tomorrow.
5. Have fun.
When caught up in the "rat race", it can be easy to forget to have fun and laugh. Make humor a part of your life. Read a few good jokes in the morning, and share them with your colleagues at work. Spread laughter and fun, and you'll get it back in droves. Watch a funny Youtube video every few hours to let your mind decompress and to let yourself laugh. Make it a goal to have fun at least 5 times a day - if not more.
Wisdom for an Awesome Week
Here's a great quote for you:
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
Meaning: Like #5 says on the list above, we're all really just a bunch of kids walking around in suits and ties, putting on our "work" face, or our "society" face. Don't suppress that inner-kid too much. Let'em run wild now and again. It'll change your life.
Goal Setting, and a Big Welcome to Our New Members!
First, goal setting:
Right now, set a goal for this week. Make it something that ignites you, that you really want. Do you want to be happier this week? Make 1 new friend? Do 1 more pushup than you could last week? Smile at 3 new people every day? Set a simple goal, and make it happen.
And now... A big welcome!
Every time our community receives a new member, it thrives all the more. Thank you to all of our new members who have recently joined our family. We're thrilled to have you. If you have any questions or trouble with anything, let us know immediately. It's what we're here for. And if you contributed to this growth by sending a referral, I'd like to sincerely thank you too.
