Relationships With People Who Will Help you Get What You Want Out of Life
1. Use Donald Trump’s two favorite words... "You’re fired!"
If energy vampires and people who are content with not getting what they want out of life are taking up all of your time... how can you possibly have time for people who are passionate about getting what they want?
If there are people in your life who constantly put your ideas down... question your judgement... or criticize the way you do things... It might be time to give them the "boot".
Now, you can do this in a few ways. Here are two:
- Let them know you need space. This can be scary, and people can react very negatively when they hear this, but it might be the only way to go.
- If you’re non-confrontational, simply stop reaching out to them. Don’t return calls. Or just tell them you’re busy when they want to see you. The first option is more ideal, but not all of us are ready to do that yet.
2. Know who you want to be.
When you see someone who you want to associate with - how do you know? What about them resonates with you? You have to decide who you want to be to have that same impact on others.
One thing is certain though: passionate people are attracted to passionate people. Ignite your own passion, and you’ll notice them everywhere you go.
3. Start being that person.
Finally, now that you know who you want to be - it’s time to start acting like it. If you want to be a risk-taker who is honest and compassionate - start treating people with compassion, and taking risks by telling them what’s in your heart.
If you want to be a successful business owner, spend time figuring out what business you want to go into. And take action. Action breeds opportunity, which is opportunity for more action.
